Anonymous asked: I like Uh Huh Her. You Come Through, The Desperate Kingdom of Love, and The Darker Days of Me and Him are some of my favorite PJ songs. I would guess people don't like it because, in my opinion, it seems to me that her musical style was evolving, from Dry and ROM to TBYML to ITD to SFTCSFTS, and then Uh Huh Her was like trying to return to her earlier style again. I get that vibe when I listen to The Pocket Knife and feel like it should be a much younger PJ singing it. Whats YOUR opinion on it?

I really like Uh Her Her as well, which is why I asked as I’m confused seeing that people dislike it. (This happens all the time, ever since I’ve started browsing the internet I’m confronted by these opinions that are in direct opposition to mine that I’d never considered before, and they turn out to be the majority!)

Anyway, I really enjoy hearing demos from any artist, and I’m a fan of that raw, unpolished style in general, so of course when PJ does it it’s absolutely fab. If I could ever list my favorite PJ songs, “Pocket Knife,” “Cat on the Wall,” and “The Darker Days of Me and Him” would all be very high.
